I looked at the body of the email, but the phishing links were missing." Either scammer forgot to add them, or the provider filtered them out of the email.
If anyone asks you for money on the Internet they are always a scammer, 100% of the time.

Links may work in original email but once it is copied and pasted they do not work. This is what I have found often happens.

Well, sometimes you will get the same email again, only with fixed links. So, be on the lookout.
