Scammer pretending to be David Voss

Unread postby NREqueen84 » Wed Nov 15, 2017 1:21 am

He is going by David Voss 35 year old firefighter in the US Army currently deployed in Nigeria. Born in Rome Italy lived there until his mother died at age 16 then moved to Denver CO. Has 2yr old daughter who lives with his ex girlfriend. Meet me on OKCupid username voss229 but heard him meeting someone else on tinder then quickly moves conversation to KIK app. Username was davidvoss11. I accidently publicly posted on Facebook about him so it is possible he changed his name but could still using same pictures and story line. Two different phone numbers he has used was 234 815 405 4637 & 234 808 484 9366.

Recovery scammer Jessa Mudiaga

Unread postby NREqueen84 » Wed Nov 15, 2017 1:49 am

His Facebook page doesn’t look as fake as the others but still questionable. Doesn’t hide the fact that he lives in Nigeria. Contacted me through Facebook messenger 3 days after i found out i was originally scammed saying he is disgusted by his people and what they do and wants to help me recover what i lost. Thankful to the research I’ve done i knew this could happen but just another scam. I’m pretty sure this identity is completely false too but it does look convincing.

Thanks and no unfortunately we had no contact by email. It’s was by OKCupid and KIK. I didn’t even keep an eye out for an email because wasn’t even aware of scams like these but as soon as i had that feeling is when i starting trying to find any proof he existed but instead found all the proof he didn’t.

Can you post his facebook profile elements? Did you receive E-mails or just FB private messages? Can you post the messages you received where he offers to help you recover your money?

I removed the photo you posted that had the child in it. We do not post photos of children here. Please take the time to read our forum rules here:

ETA: please be sure to not post any of your real life details.

Ok, now you need to stop all contact with the scammers.
You should probably remove the post you made on FB admitting you were scammed as it may work like a scammer magnet making them send you more scams trying to get money from you again.
You should also file a police report.

Here is a topic concerning what to do if you are a victim of a scam:

Still at it, and they're pretty good. Almost exact same story line but different first name and "stationed" in West Africa. Met on Coffee Meets Bagel and switched to Kik. Refused to send any specific pictures. Wasn't rude or offensive until confronted.

Tried to upload pics but unable to right now. But they're the exact same ones and then some.
