Minama,

Do not send this person money.
Stop talking to the scammer everywhere.
Please give us the specific details of the scammer.

Email address used.
Where you met him? Dating site? Which one?
Emails sent from the scammer describing himself, and asking for money.
Documents sent to you.
Anything else a victim could search and find your scammer.

Then read this:

I intentionally found this site and really thank this post to know that I'm going to be next victim but fortunately I haven't transfered anything to him as he is still in flirting period. He started conversation with me on tagged (a dating online site). In the profile he says he is 44 yo but talking to me he is only 38 yo with his mother (56 yo) staying in hospital due to cancer. He says he is in UK and will marry me to there to live a happy life. He even promised to give me a fancy car. Nothing is started but once I luckily found this site I spotted him already. Please see the details in screenshot from whatsapp.

He sent me an msg on the app called ‘meet me’ yesterday 11/11/18 and he was using ‘josh read smith’ and would change to ‘josh read’ as well, he and I chat for a while, at first things seems normal ask about if single? Job?, then after exchange number and chat for awhile he suddenly asked how much money I made, and it just so weird, normal conversation won’t ask u that especially not when u start having conversations with that person only 2-3 hours. And he asked for my pic and today we chat for a bit and he said he is going to work now and will msg me when he is free and ask me to take good care of myself for him and it just so weird cause that msg he sent was like those guys who r from India or somewhere like that whom English is not their first language. He and I were definitely not in a relationship or I’m definitely not interested in having one with him as well, I was just on that app for chat, so it’s even more odd when he sent me that msg. And I was trying to google him, it didn’t show his pics or anything, but u can find he did have a fb account with the name ‘josh read smith’ and it definitely is a new open account since there’s was nothing before oct 2018, and he posted those pics which the other post on this forum on there and there was some Thai or India really young girl pic before he post those his so-called selfie, everything is just frisky and I googled his phone number and found this page so I thought I should post on here as well. And I did report his profile as fake member on that ‘meet me’ app and block his number on WhatsApp.

Name he is using ‘josh read smith’ or ‘josh read’
Age on his profile: 38
Job: civil engineer (building)
Phone number: +447751425953
App I knw him: meet me/ skout

Thanks for the report, Chloe.

Do not talk to him anymore, not a word more to him. Block him anywhere if he tries to talk to you without a response.

Cynthialiu,
The person in the pictures is an innocent person as you are, whose photos have been stolen. The person in the photos has nothing to do with the scam, and needs to be left alone. Do not search for the real person in the photos.
Many different scammers from all over the world use the same innocent man's pictures to scam people

The person you are talking to is a scammer, and so you need to stop all communication with him immediately.
This is important to protect yourself and all other victims of the scammer.

Do not send this person money.
Stop talking to the scammer everywhere.
Please give us the specific details of the scammer.

The Email address that he uses.
Where you met him? Dating site? Which one?
Emails sent from the scammer describing himself, and the ones asking for money.
Documents he sent to you.
His phone numbers.
His online profiles, such as facebook, linkedin, instagram, skype etc. if he used them
Anything else a victim could search and find your scammer.

Then read these:
