I think we may have upset someone - again.

I woke up to see a Skype conversation between FF and BA about the site being down. Went to my inbox and found this:

Dear customer,

Our network monitoring system detected unusual traffic patterns that may indicate your services with IP 37.187.154.194 are under attack.
To safeguard your business and eliminate any malicious activity, we will now be routing your traffic through our Network Scrubbing Centres.

Please note these kinds of attacks are typically aimed at interrupting services and should not pose a threat to the security of your data.

Usually, no action is required from your side.

Indeed, when I checked we'd been hit with a pretty big DDoS attack. To give you an idea of the scale of it, we usually average about 52,000 bits of data. That's the amount of traffic we get on the site. During the attack it peaked at 174,000,000. This is the thing when you run a site like this - you're going to piss the scammers off and eventually they're going to attempt to shut you down in any way they can. Sorry for the downtime folks, these things happen.

To give you an idea of how bad it's been, here's an image for you.

Our traffic is typically about 50,000. At its worst it was over 200 million! That's 4000x what we'd usually be getting.
We're still working on it and hope to get it sorted soon, though it may require you to jump through a few extra hoops to view the site. Sorry about this, but think of it this way. If the scammers are doing this then it's because we've been doing some real damage to their "business".
