This "One simple trick" for helping deal with spam.

I know, I know. That sounds so clickbaity, but bear with me on this as it really is a simple trick and it does what it's supposed to do.

My account receives more and more spam these days, so here's what I found. A huge number of them come from email addresses starting with newsletter@, so I created a filter where any email address starting with newsletter@ gets put into a separate folder. Again, it sounds like a pure clickbait title, but this "One simple trick" really does make a huge difference. It doesn't delete the emails, so you can check it from time to time to make sure nothing you actually need gets removed before emptying the folder. First time I ran it, it filtered out over 500 spam emails and put them in that folder.

It worked for me, and it could work for you too.
