Apologies for my late response as such delays in responding is not typical of me.

I actually submitted the claim application yesterday mid-day but was pre-occupied with official duties at the office and closed pretty late. We have resumed at a conference this morning and on coffee-break. I came to the office to send an update to you now and discovered you have relied to my message since yesterday.

The claims department at the Department of Minerals and Energy will be contacting you directly as applicant once they have concluded their verification exercise on your claim particulars and if its certified valid, you will be contacted to commence the payments procedures.

Please note that the verifications department are very sensitive to information's supplied by applicants as one little misrepresentation can jeopardize all our efforts so far. I please indulge you to carefully study all the information's as contained in the application form as it applies to contract number, sites, contract type etc so that you are not caught napping. If the questions asked are that complex, please tell whoever that you prefer to be called on a later time to be able to answer such question because the project was executed a long time ago and would like to refer to your files and get back to them.

At such point, you must immediately contact me for clarifications please.

Thanks for your time.

Just a follow-up to know if you have been contacted by the Department of Minerals & Energy Resources (DMER) as it normally between 24-72 hours to validate claims. Very unusual that you have not heard from the claims department on the outcome of the application.

Could you please send an email to the claims department of the Department of Minerals & Energy Resources (DMER) on claimsdept@dmer.org.za requesting an update on your claim application. This will avail us every oppurtunity to know about what is happening.

Please let me know.
