How were you to send the money ?: MoneyGram
What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: At first nothing.... Today I have deleted my facebook and blocked their number from my phone
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed.: I dont normally get on social media sites, facebook is the only one I occasionally visit to check up on some friends and family. I dont look for or ask for friend requests either so I typically just accept any request I get and move on. Thats when they began messaging me. "She" said she was a hairdresser and just wanted to talk to somebody she didn't know so we began to idly chit chat, hobbies, work, etc. "She" seemed a nice person... then asked if "I wanted to see something"....
After a short facetime call the threats began. "She" said she was 15 and began threatening me with pedophilia charges... Skipping ahead again, I couldn't pay what they wanted so we "negotiated" down to and they said it would all be over. I paid the money and waited for them to send me the link for the deleted video, but they demanded I continue to pay.
