Asked alot to start video call.
Responsive to your chat, felt legitimate.
Asked about your city alot.
Had general knowledge of local areas.
Claimed had to use Skype as that was what they used to chat with divorced
parents.
Will not give you time to think, very quick and determined they get what
they want (time to talk, video call)

I suspect it was going to the phillippines

I have contacted both skype and tinder and provided screenshots about their
details. I've have also filed a police report Skype has already taken down
the scammer's account, tinder has yet to get back to me.

The scammer emails are:

I have deactivated my facebook and one of my family member's facebook.
Changed the privacy settings, display pictures, ensured my surname isn't
revealed. Made sure I was unsearchable on google and social media platforms

When they threatened me. They sent a list of facebook URLs of my friends
(i've reached out to all my friends and got them to made their friend list
private. I also caught a glimpse of the facebook account they were using. I
saw the name Mark, Unfortunately I couldn't find this facebook profile to
report.

prevent someone else from being scammed.:
To be honest it's quite hard to expect. I totally was not expecting the
person I was skyping with to strip. The conversation in the beginning is
quite polite, mild and decent.

If you're on dating apps. Never link or use facebook to verify your tinder
account. Use an abbreviated version of your name, dont use the same profile
pictures, make sure your friend list are not public. Reduce the leverage of
information that the scammer can use against you.
