Other reporting options

If flagging a video does not accurately capture your issue, we have a number of additional reporting mechanisms for you to explore.

Reporting tool
Flagging is a great way to report a video that you think violates our Community Guidelines, but sometimes you may need to report more than one piece of content or may wish to submit a more detailed report for review. Using the reporting tool, you can highlight a user’s comments, videos and provide additional information about your concern. If you feel that you have been targeted for abuse, this tool is your best option to report content.

Report abuse via our Reporting Tool. http://www.youtube.com/reportabuse

Privacy reporting
To file a privacy complaint, start the Privacy Complaint Process. Your privacy is always respected in this process.

Legal reporting
If you need to report a legal issue on behalf of yourself or your client, you may contact us via our Legal Webforms. To expedite our ability to investigate your claim, we encourage you to submit your claim using our webform, rather than by fax or post. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/140536

Please note, abuse of our legal forms may result in the termination of your YouTube account.

Moment of death or critical injury footage
We attempt to respect the wishes of families in regards to footage of their loved ones being critically injured. If you've identified content showing a family member during the moment of death or critical injury, and you wish to request removal of this content, please contact us using our webform. We carefully review each request, but please note that we take public interest and newsworthiness into account when determining if content will be removed.

Reporting videos and scammer account to sendvideo.com

Go to this link and fill out the email form. Be sure to include the exact link to your video from the address bar at the top of the browser.
It may take more than a day, perhaps a few for the video to be deleted, so be patient. Just because they uploaded it does not mean they will actually send it to your friends, IF you do ALL the steps at http://blackmailscams.com.

Enter your name, email addresss, and in the "Subject" line put "Webcam blackmail, please delete [link to the video.]"

In the "Message"

{Copy of the video link}

The person who posted this video is committing crimes of webcam blackmail, extortion, cyber crime laws, and international wire fraud. Please delete the video and the abuser's sendvideo account as soon as possible per your Terms Of Service. http://support.sendvid.com/customer/en/ ... of-service

We really do try like hell to make it as easy as pie

Unread postby SlapHappy » Thu Mar 08, 2018 3:29 pm

We really do try like hell to make it as easy as pie to make it damn near impossible for anyone to actually register here first and then ask us, "Where do I get help?" or "This happened to me too. What do I do now?" or "Will they post the video? I have not gone to the help link yet to get the answer to that question or all of the rest of the questions that I have that are answered at the Webcam Blackmail Help button link." or "I need reassurance that the advice works before I go to the link."

No, you do not need personal reassuring replies from the staff before you do what you need to do right away. Do not hesitate. Hesitation will cause you and others more pain and suffering from the scammer. Do not give the scammer more time to cause more damage.
Please click the Webcam Blackmail Help link and do not ask these questions above, ok? We spent a lot of time writing and modifying it over the last six years to cover everything that every blackmailed victim needs to know immediately, to take action to help themselves, and to answer all of their questions.

The link that you need to click on first to get Webcam Blackmail Help is on the site literally hundreds of thousands of times on this forum, over a quarter of a million in fact. And you do not have to register here to get help. There really is no excuse for not going there first. If you ask for help and have not gone there yet, you will be ignored, or you will get the link to go there anyway and you may get a well deserved sarcastic comment included as well.

A popup slams everyone in the face as soon as they arrive here, and one of two links need to be clicked in order to get it out of your face and make it disappear off of your screen. The first one of them on the left, surprise!, is a link to help for blackmailed victims. Click that one, please.

You cannot visit any page on this forum without seeing it at least 3 times, on some pages over 10 times. I'd be surprised to learn that anyone visiting here has not accidentally clicked on one of them at least once even if they were not being blackmailed. The huge button link on the top of the page in the blackmail scams/sextortion section of the forum even flashes like a beacon on a lighthouse.

All we ask is for you to Click the Webcam Blackmail Help link first, give us the scammer's details, do the steps to protect yourself and others from the scammer, and then you can go on your merry way living your life again without irrational fear. Your identity is protected as we post the scammer details, not you. Your personal information is not posted on this forum and we will remove it if you accidentally post anything too personal.

So, now that you know what to do first, go ahead and help yourself and others. Just click any one of them as they all go to the same place. Do it right now. You and all the rest of us will be overjoyed that you did as it will reduce the pain and suffering for you and everyone else.
