French is the second language of Morocco. Arabic is first.'

And regarding the difference in the clock.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_ ... in_Morocco
Daylight saving time in Morocco
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As of 2013, daylight saving time (DST) is observed in Morocco, advancing to UTC+1 at 02:00 on the last Sunday of March, and reverting to UTC (standard time) at 03:00 on the last Sunday of October, with the exception of the month of Ramadan, during which clocks revert to UTC (standard time).[1][2]

So they are in standard time now until spring. The scammer is 100%, definitely in Morocco.

Shouldn't you be moving forward instead of backwards now? Don't over-think this, just move on with your life.
If anyone asks you for money on the Internet they are always a scammer, 100% of the time.

its been just over a week now

Give it a few more weeks before even thinking of opening it back up. Better option is to give it a few weeks and create a new account.

hey sorry to keep posting, but the thing is my facebook account is mostly work contacts and basically work through my facebook, yes i have close friends on there as well but on the most part it is contacts for my work. this is why i was so concerned when this happened. i really do need to keep all my cotacts on facebook or i can not work. the reason i keep asking if they keep the video is because eventually i am going to have to re activate my fb account to continue work so if i make my profile private and change my profile pic surely there would be no reason for them to try and cntact me again because they would not have a video any more to actually threaten me with. i really wouldnt be asking bt this severely effects my work as well as my private life. thanks

Heck, why take our advice? Do what you want to make your life easier and risk the scammer re-contacting you.
We just make up all the steps based on our experience and the 17,000 forms for the hell of it.
Don't bother to take the time to add your contacts on a new FB account that the scammer would have more trouble finding. Go ahead and risk it. Just don't come crying back here if the scammer threatens again, with or without having any video. We are not your Mommy.

It has happened to me, best thing to do is delete all things that you used to contact. If you can do so much as deleting all social media and such, then do it. I ended up just calling the bluff, and it worked. I told them "im a minor, go ahead, post my stuff, see what happens." of course I am not a minor but I got lucky and it worked.
