Here's the answers for you.

Odds are they won't, especially if you deactivated all your social media accounts like we explain in our steps.

Depends, but if you blocked them and they can't contact you anymore then what does it matter?

thx for the answers. Did you ever notice a case where the scammer contacted FB-friends to get back in contact with the initial victim?
And I'm still very afraid he might actually send the nude picture ... :(

Very rarely, and even in those cases, there is no pic sent, just a message to contact you.
So, go to http://blackmailscams.com, do the steps, and relax. You have done all you can do. And it's. usually enough to discourage them.
If anyone asks you for money on the Internet they are always a scammer, 100% of the time.

Thx for the answer and the comfort. And thank you for your time and effort! I feel very stupid and naive but I can only hope for the best and learn from it.

What are the most common sites to store blackmail videos?

What are the most common sites to store blackmail videos?

I recently was stupid enough to get myself recorded on video (they used bandicam), phillipines based, I followed all the steps here, deactivated everything, blocked them, shared everything here, I even reported them to an organization in the country helping victims of this. Through them facebook was asked to take down the profile and hopefully the video and images on the chat were hashed so further sharing would be restricted on FB platforms hopefully (I know it's advised not to report the profiles but this was done by the organization not me).

In between the threats, when I asked for proof to delete the videos if I paid, I think the blackmailers sent me an email id and password, the email was a dummy one in my name with some numbers, since then I have been trying to figure what storage service could they be using where these details might work and I might get access to the videos and images and be able to delete them for good, or is this just a fantasy and they were just messing around?

Thanks

Just trying to keep you on the hook so you will pay them. That's all.

Unread postby iwillfightback » Wed Feb 17, 2021 7:13 am

So i became victim of sextortion on 2nd feb,i still dont know why i trusted a stranger and did all that inappropriate things (you know what) on camera to a stranger. Its a lifetime learning to never repeat such things
On 1st day of becoming victim,i was terrified, almost decided how to suicide and but still i used some brain and refused to pay to scammer, after i refused to pay they threatened me that now they are going to share my videos with all my followers (they had screenshot) and then they blocked me immediately
Today its 17th feb, almost 15 days since that incident happened,i know how i have spent these 15 days living in fear and anxiety, this month is probably the worst of my life. But,anyways good news is that they have neither shared my video till now nor tried contacting me back since 15 days, can i probably consided myself as safe now ?

Also thanks to these amazing people at scamsurvivors.com ,who gave a hell lot of assurance that if i do follow some basic precautions i will not get my video shared

Thanks a lot guys
Please do reply what do you think

You probably are safe, but give it at least 30 days to open any new account.
