If the contact is done on Whatsapp, Blakebot23. block the number they are using. If they are trying to send you messages again with another phone number, best thing to do is to remove that app from your mobile phone.

Keep in mind, please, that app will activate your Facebook profile also every time, if you were using that app on Facebook.

What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: I have deativated my facebook, instagram, and deleted my okcupid account. I have blocked their number as well. I also canceled my credit card and requested a new one.
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed, no matter how trivial it may seem at the time.: They told me that they wanted me to vote for them on some site. And they kept telling me to go site after site, which asked for my credit card.

She asked to skype and then proceeded to run the scam. If you see anyone with a similar name, proceed with caution.
