Scammer lies. They have no list when blocked regardless of what they say. A scare, and since you cannot be contacted to scare anymore, nor your friends, they lose.

Well looks like I fell for it. Unfortunately, I realized something wasn't right a little too late. After flashing on my webcam, the scammer started to desperately ask me to do it again via skype chat. I refused, wanting her to get on webcam with me. When she appeared, I asked her to put her finger in her mouth to which she ended the chat and said her mom came in. That's when I knew something was wrong.

Some details. I met the scammer on OKCupid under the username Sim_lovekills. We exchanged messages. Decided to give Skype a try. Scammers username on skype is: simone.cyhak. The email she told me to send photos to is simona.cyhak@gmail.com. Google+ : https:/ /profiles.google.com/111619328444940500180/about link disabled. FF.

Unfortunately, the scammer now has a video of me exposed on webcam. Oh well. At least I look good. I will in no way be paying any money...

Thank you to all of you on this forum. Your advice and of course, identifying that the photos were fake, were a huge help. Anyway we can track em down with those usernames?

Cheers.

I'm you were scammed. Thanks for posting up the information on him. Since scammers use fake names, we cannot get their real identities unless they do something really stupid. And even if we know exactly who they are, getting them arrested is even harder, so forget that idea. We may be able to tell what city or country they are from, using phone numbers and emails sent. That is about as close to them as we can usually get.

Hi I am new here and I am from Malaysia. This is the work of Nigerians and West Africans Scammers in Malaysia. They were many of them here illegally (stay more than the Visa period) and legally (came here as student and used a student Visa). Many of them were nabbed and put down inside the lock up but they were still roaming this country through their network. Malaysia have became the hub for this Africans Scams and the authorities were trying hard putting their effort to clear this criminal from our country. Please be careful with any potential individual especially white male and females who post their profile as someone such as an Engineers, Contractors, Vendors or even as a bussinessman who worked in Malaysia. 99% of them are Scammers and the Mules. Just be careful.

Welcome to ScamSurvivors, Marina. Thanks for your post. :)
We see a lot of scams, mostly romance scams, coming from Malaysia. We know that West Africans with student visas are behind a great deal of them. Some work in gangs in the country, and others have close ties to West Africa and other places around the world. We know that Malaysia has been taking a more active approach to catching these criminals, as we see arrests in the media lately.

hey guys,

i'm in pretty much the exact same boat as jcted - met the scammer Sim_lovekills (simona cyhak) via OkCupid, sent a couple compromising photographs (none with my face in the photo, thankfully), and generally felt uneasy about the whole thing, so i decided to just cut off contact and ignore her. fortunately for me, things never got to the point where we exchanged phone numbers, became friends on any social network, or anything like that, but she would IM me on google chat occasionally wanting to skype chat.

about an hour ago, she IMed me on google chat and said that her account had been hacked and she was starting a new account. that prompted me to google simona.cyhak@gmail.com (the account we'd been IMing on), and lo and behold, i found this thread. i wish the simona character had already been outed when i first heard from her, but that's wishful thinking.

in any case, she told me her new account was sscyhak@gmail.com, so please beware of that account as well.

i've now blocked both accounts.

lesson learned: always use reverse google image search
