viewtopic.php?f=20&t=580Have been Blackmailed, what do I do?
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1242There is good advice there on stopping all contact and mitigating any damage that they threaten to do to you.
Being silent and not paying them is most important. Google alerts which will tell you if any new personal information shows up, nice point there. After awhile of no response and difficulty getting to you, they will move on. If you have other details like pictures, phone numbers, emails, or any other specific information that can be googled by other victims or potential victims please post them here. Thanks.
If you would like to help us learn how to best fight these kinds of criminals, would you go to this topic and answer a few questions there?
Help us research these scammers by answering a few questions
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1628You may also PM your answers to a Moderator or the Admin, Wayne, if you feel too uncomfortable posting in the public forum. We just want to get a better handle on how they operate, etc. And as usual, we never ask for any member's real name or any personal details. We are only interested in the scammers' details.
These kinds of scams seem to be increasing, and we want to seriously look at the problem, help the victims of blackmailing scammers, and try to find ways of battling them.
