My personal advice is call your local police department and explain the situation to them. They may or may not help but it can relieve some of the stress. If anyone of your friends and family ask what happened , just say "hey someone hacked my profile and threatened to exhort me", and they'll understand.

Blocked on skype and signed out so they cannot contact me, or at least I can be oblivious to their contact.

if you have a partner, be honest and admit the screw-up.
Remain calm and google about the situation first, I didn't and am now $500 out of pocked and humiliated.

HI **PLEASE HELP** I am being scammed by this person from chatroulette. Same old story, started on CR, then went to skype, got sexual on cam, they then showed me my friend list and a recorded video of me, claimed their a professional hacker and have now blackmailed me. I have been blackmailed to pay £300 by tomorrow (purely because i dont have enough money atm) for a video recording of myself. They have threatened to send it to all my friends on facebook!! What should I do? She claimed she was "sofia anderson" from Montreal, canada (who's actually from morocco). If I am being advised to not pay the £300 by a kind member on here i obviously would appreciate 100% confirmation that this is a bluff and they won't release it to all my friends on facebook. Unless Im 100% convinced they wont send the video to all my mates Im paying them £300, as thats peanuts compared to the devastating consequences it could produce! Yes they might ask for more, but what can i do?!!!

Im obviously very stressed and concerned and need advice sooner rather than later!
