One of my friend was scammed by a person from Philippines. The person blackmailed my friend 6 weeks ago. The scammer threatened my friend to send money. He blocked the scammer everwhere and deactivated all his accounts. We thought that the problem is solved, but a week ago the scammer posted his video on a porn site xvideos.com. He hasn't received a google alert of it. When he searched his name online he found the link posted a week ago. The video was even copied to the other child hosting porn sites of xvideos.com. However, we reported to xvideos.com and got the video deleted.

Now I am afraid that what if the scammer post my video to the porn site in a similiar fashion? I know this is the what if question but I am unable to keep silent on this as you mentioned previously saying the video wont appear after the days pass on. Its not the single case of my friend, I have seen a lot more videos being posted in xvideos and pornhub everyday. Why do the scammers post the videos to the porn sites even if they do not have any point of contact with victim? Please answer this question which would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Many times they're posted because the person didn't react quick enough or didn't do all the steps. Or the video was posted before the alert was set up. No method is ever going to be 100%, but the steps we give will give you the absolute best chance of having nothign happen. There's a reason even the National Crime Agency took our steps as the basis for their campaign.

So the video is posted in many cases for many times? If the victim follows all the steps, we can prevent the scammer in not sending it to friends or family but still there are many chances of posting video on porn sites? Is that you meant from previous reply?

Hey, saw your post a few days ago when she liked my profile. Started up a convo after that. Same thing, different pics. Have you started a report with the FBI at all? If not, would you be kind enough to either post or PM me the case number for HPD? I'd like to add more information (AKA my email chain). I have no shame regarding what's in it lol.

I couldn't get much, but it may help provide some validity and protect others. Personally, I hope they can find me with what they have. It's all false info anyway.

Our admin posted that form for another victim of this scammer. We do not go and make reports to the FBI ourselves, but suggest that victims contact their local police and file a report with IC3.gov in USA or their country's cybercrime agency.

You really should go to http://blackmailscams.com to Read our advice, add scammer details to our form, and follow all the advice sent to you after doing that. That should explain any questions and best protect you and others from further harm.

Allll good. I am not in harms way, quite the opposite lol. I'll continue to hunt this person on my own then. Was hoping to add to the victim's police report, nothing more. Although, the victim should be using federal agencies. I don't believe the person who did this is local, but I need more time to locate them.

Do NOT continue to chase or contact your scammer.

No one here is vigilante. If you have a problem with a fake profile trying to scam you, contact the police. Hunting the scammer is not something we advise you to do in this type of scam, because you may end up by jeopardizing other victims while you believe you are doing something good.

Please consider this a fair warning.

I will add: The other 30-40 other victims per day that this scammer contacts need you to post the details that only YOU may have to help them to avoid pain, suffering, and loss of money. Think of the other victims, who may not be in the same comfy position you seem to think that you are in yourself right now. Stirring up scammers only hurts other victims, and does not prove how smart or resourceful you are, but rather shows a callous disregard for doing the only right thing.
