Home Office research on victims of computer misuse

Unread postby Wayne » Wed Feb 06, 2019 10:28 pm

Here's an email I received that some of you may be interested in.

Dear Wayne,

We met at Monica's conference on scams.

I am currently doing research for the Home Office on victims of computer misuse (hacking, denial of service attacks and viruses etc. You can see more about the project at http://www2.port.ac.uk/centre-for-count ... er-misuse/

As part of the research we are looking for victims to do a survey and to be interviewed. They would need to be victims of a scam that involved computer misuse, such as hacking or denial of service attack, ransomware etc.

I wonder if you could circulate details of this research to your network? Anyone we interview we can give a £25 Amazon voucher and we can guarantee anonymity.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Mark
