Briefly explain what happened during the scam. : This started 2yrs ago. Right after Hurricane Michael hit. I had started talking to this man maybe a week and half before. Then we lost contact for 2 weeks because of the storm. He contacted me just as soon as we had phone service. So I sent money and he was Going to give the money back that I am held accountable for. He hasn't so far but continues to promise. He got me again with my phone service, AT&T. HE GIT A NEW IPHONE 11!
I had given him probably$500 total in Gift Cards.
He still promises to repay. But I know better. He never will.
He knows what he's is doing.

Did you send any money to the scammer? If so, how much?: He took in excess of $7,000 I gave him at be least $500 in Gift Cards for him to use Bitcoin on.
