The scammer contacted the victim on Instagram.

She introduced herself as a military person after some correspondence she told me that she have a daughter in USA that had a serious sick, leukemia, and need money for treatment. She even sent me her medical report. When I send the money she asked more and more. She wanted to send me a box by a shipping company. The company has an internet address which I assume it belongs to a fake site.

On Instagram "she" is @rileymabelanna.

From 4:45am to 6:30am in the morning, there is always training section. I resume fully my daily duties by 9:00am in the morning, my lunch time is 1:00pm after my lunch time, i have to resume duty by 2:30pm then i finish with my daily work by 5:30pm. during this closing hours, I order instruction to other soldier colleagues on how to know how to information and fax messages to the headquarters. what you need to know also is that, there maybe an emergency and it will require me and i have to attend to every emergency for the safety of my men. so with this, my time may varies. and sometimes at night, there can also be intruders and information from other base for proper security check up. so all these make me busy always. and my work is on contract basis. now i am on contract work for the United State government. I have less than 90 days to work here now and return back home(you asked how long I'd be staying here)

My dearest One,
Thank you for the mail, I feel very happy when ever i am reading your
mail, and I appreciate it very much. I want to give you more brief
description of myself.

About myself, I am an American citizen. I'm 179 cm in height, I have a
daughter, and she is 3 years old, will be 4 years soonest this year
living with her Nanny. I divorced my husband since 2017 because both
of us felt that we have too many differences in our outlook in life,
he betrayed me by flirting around and also slept with my best friend
when I was on duty in Iraq . It was quite an amicable breakup and the
court told me to have my daughter because her father is influenced
with alcohol and drugs. About my parents, I lost my younger Sister and
my father in 9 11 attack, and my mother is suffering from dementia due
to the shock she had when the sad news came about my family which
later passed away years ago what a sad experience i been into.

I did my college education in Chicago , graduating with a degree in
engineering majoring in electrical engineering. I have a Masters in
Management Information Systems from the Canada . Before joining the
army, I worked for an American software company (SPSS) for about 4
years, managing the Asia Pacific Channel business in New Zealand .
After the death of my family in 9 11 attack, I demanded break from
work to spend some time with my mother. Finally I joined the Army
fully to fight for justice against the world terrorist.

As for my personality, well… one thing for sure, I am an easy going
person, straight-forward and direct, kind and good hearted. I like
nature a lot, and I go mountain biking every weekend when I am back in
USA . In USA , I do long distance walking every day, and sometimes on
weekends, I just get myself a train ticket and go to any city to spend

main hideout of Tahrir al-Sham where they keep their Ammunition to
bomb, raid and captured the New Tahrir al-Sham Chief in Eastern Syria
Damascus on Monday, so we are on special training since yesterday,

succeed, I Will be rewarded heavily, I promise you that with you

Honey, I really want to thank God that I was saved, God really
protected me, and I escaped death. My love, it was not easy since
Friday, we went for war front and come out with victory and my team
captured the second in command of the Tahrir al-Sham , though we lost
3 soldiers and many injured. I just got some minor injuries.
