What name did the scammer use?: John o Rogers
What site/app did you first meet the scammer on?: Facebook ( http:/ /facebook.com/john.rogers29 )
What email address(es) did the scammer use?: Instant messaged me for awhile then switched to "hangout" app at request
What phone number(s) did the scammer use?: No phone numbers used.
Briefly explain what happened during the scam. : On the Hangouts App the most pictures sent including fake military ID when I was initially asking for proof because just being safe. That ID is gone and down.
Basically. I never accept requests on Facebook from people I don't know.
Military with ID sent to me. John O Rogers. Stationed in Aphganastan and retiring in May. Wife died three years ago. Has. a 16 year old son in the UK military school. His foster parents died two years ago in a car wreck. He being an orphan until adopted at 5.
After he sent more pics at first and ID I continued for a few days chatting on hangout which I had never used.
Then his story was looking wife for his son. Someone spend rest life with. All of that. So then his son all sudden is going for two weeks with his school to west Africa. And he will send me his sons mail address.
