This one's a long and ugly play.

It started with matching with a certain William Morgan on Skout and immediately asking me to move to Google Hangouts on May 13.

I have more than 10 pictures. I want to make sure that this guy doesn't get to victimize a person anymore.

How much money did they demand?: 10K USD

What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: I had him blocked from my Gmail account.
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed.:
~ He is divorced but had a 5-year old kid.
~ He lives in Westminster, Maryland. (Address he gave was 100 Liberty St Westminster, MD)
~ He claims to have grown up in the USA but has a weird accent.
~ He was raised in Hawaii; his father is Singaporean and his mother is from Hawaii.
~ He claimed to be a Mechanical Engineer but have started his own company and their first project is in Manchester, United Kingdom. He says that he got paid but his bank put a hold on his account due to non-payment of fees. He had to deposit money in cash just so he could withdraw the $250K USD that was sent to his bank account.
~He claims that his hotel is having WIFI issues that's why he couldn't do video call.
~He had me send money to different people and not to him directly because Western Union has issues with his ID (baloney). Here were the people I sent the money to:

this mail as soon as possible.

Firstly i want to say i'm really and deeply happy that i'm able to identify
Mr William with someone atleast, and i'm glad that you are his Girlfriend,
but the only problem is that you are so far.

i'm deeply sorry that i have not been able to reach you earlier than now, i
have been so very busy with other patient and also busy with work, it
always take me time to go through my mails due to work but i will do my
best to be able to reach you always.

i have not been able to reach his mother, the two people that were
constantly calling was one Mr Smith and you because it always displays your
name on the screen of his phone.

Mr William is still in a vegetative state, which means he still
unconscious, does not know where he is neither is he aware of his
environment.

About 50% of people in Vegetative states do recover consciousness, but are
slow in recovering their full physical abilities and also might forget
somethings through trauma and all. I and my team here are doing our best to
make sure that everything is in order and he recovers.

Again i say i'm deeply sorry for the late reply, also i want you to know
that he has not paid for his insurance months now, so the hospital bills
have been taken care by me till today, please i will be glad if their is
something we can do as soon as possible as per that.
