No, I would ignore all of his messages. He is far more likely to be a scammer using the phrases he used than not. Ex-victims should not toy around with anyone they suspect is a scammer. He may have your real life details, or he could also be YOUR scammer coming back for another crack at your money using a new name.
They do this often. It's best just to drop him cold, without saying a word.

The only thing you can do safely is to just post the FB profile link here. Go to his page, and copy what is in the address bar at the top of the window, such as, "http://www.face book.com/frankly.marshall.456" or whatever it says there. We can check him out for you.

Ok, well I am certainly glad I followed my gut! MY Robert Smith is still out to sea, has a daughter named Chelsea who he seems to be telling I am her new MOTHER (How sick is that), and is on his final mission with his company going from England to Australia. He was supposed to be aboard the ship for 2 weeks, be in Australia for a week and then back home. After which he was going to get his daughter and move from England to the US. (I don't have any of the emails for as soon as he asked for money, I blocked him from FB. STUPID ME!!) Anyways, his retirement package was somewhere in the amount of $350,000. He asked me to search for "US" a house somewhere in the range of $250,000. So, I did and found a home in the price range and contacted the realtor. Robert told me he wanted to pay cash for the house so we didn't have to worry about payments. He wanted to come here and start his own business and did not want to have to worry about the house payment. (seemed logical enough) Anyways, about 6 weeks later I happened to ask him AGAIN when he would reach home. He again told me 2 weeks at sea then once they got to Australia he would be there a week and then another 2 weeks to get back to port in England. When I said, "But you've already been gone a month and a half!" He came up with a story about engine trouble and they had been unable to leave England on time, but they are moving now. But he had talked with his lawyer in MALAYSIA and his money was there from his retirement. The only thing he needed to do was pay a tax of $2100 to release the check. He needed me to WU the funds to his lawyer in Malaysia and she would then need my bank account information and the $350,000 would then be deposited into my account. As soon as he said this...I blocked him! I remember a few years back when it was all over the news people being scammed using western union. I've had several emails telling me they were some prince and the king had their money tied up and the only way for him to get his money was to transfer it to the US but it costs money, please help me BLAH BLAH BLAH. He's still using the same images, same name, same email, and phone#. He just contacted me through facebook! I want so badly to just call him and rip him a new one, but I know that will only cause him to abandon his page and make a new one and continue to prey on other people! I only post this so this can be updated so people know he's still out there!

Updated Info...ok so I did something really stupid. I unblocked him just to get more information from him. I told him I would send the money but needed the information. He wanted me to do a bank transfer for $2100 and gave me this info:
