I don't know, its the battle, deploying with your fellow soldiers, hanging together, having your own place, staying in hotels & having wild parties, making alot of money doing what we love to do, driving fast cars & big trucks, setting ourselves apart, being different than everybody else, having a chance to be somebody, to do something that people look up to you for, your strength, your courage, not everybody can be a U.S. Army Soldier... were the lucky ones.......ARMY Strong!!!!!
About me:
Sergeant First Class David Wiggins enlisted into the Army in October of 1994 from Warwick, RI and began his military career as a 75B (Personnel Administrative Specialist). As a Personnel Administrative Specialist, he held many positions from Personal Administrative Specialist to Personnel Sergeant, serving in the 1st Squadron, 4th U.S. Cavalry, Schwenifurt, Germany and 2nd Battalion 19th Infantry, Fort Benning, GA. He deployed to Bosnia in support of Operation Joint Endeavor from 1995-1996. In 2002, he was volunteered for recruiting duty and since has held every position from Recruiter through Master Trainer.
He has served in the following positions and Organizations: Recruiter, Limited Production Station Commander (Daytona Beach and Valdosta Recruiting Co, Jacksonville Recruiting Bn), Battalion Master Trainer (Jacksonville Recruiting Bn), and now is the Limited Production Station Commander forthe U.S. Army Recruiting Station in Longview, TX (Tyler Recruiting Co, Houston Recruiting Bn)
Sergeant First Class Wiggins has graduated and exceeded the course standards from the following Military Schools; Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), Advance Non-Commissioned Officer Course (ANCOC), USAREC Station Commanders Course, and the Senior Master Trainers Course.
He has been honored as the Valdosta Recruiting Company Top New Recruiter FY03 and Top RA Recruiter FY04 & FY05; Daytona Beach Recruiting Company Station Commander of Year FY06; and led the Valdosta Recruiting Station be the Jacksonville Recruiting Battalion’s Top Large Station Combined Volume FY09, Top Large Station RA GSA Station FY09, Top Large Station RA Volume Station FY09, Top Large Station AR GSA Station FY09 & Top Large Station AR Volume Station FY09 and various other recruiting awards.
His military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Awd), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Awd), Army Achievement Medal (9th Awd), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Recruiters Ring, Glen E. Morrell Award, the Order of Saint Maurice Award– Legionnaire and the Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association Achievement Medal.
Sergeant First Class Wiggins obtained his Bachelors of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College.
