Welcome to Scam Survivors. You have done an excellent job in posting your story and all the information that goes with it. It seems that match.com appears to be a common ground for scammers. I was scammed by a profile they sent to me last Fall, then he came back at me in January using a new name, but I recognized his style of speech and blocked him instantly, only to have match send me his profile again in February, using that same pictures. And don't think for a minute match.com cares - I reported him to their fraud deptartment and it took over a month to get his profile removed.

You think these scammers really care, not abit, what they want is your bank account. These guys are worthless pieces of poo, I could think of other nastier words but you get the meaning.

Keep up the good work in the healing process, and from experience I know you will be a much stronger person and now you know what to watch for in future.

Keep posting information as you get it, it helps others in more ways than you will know.

I don't think you have the same scammer that I did, though there are similarities. As wayne said, scammers often use similar stories.
I do see some differences - though it's also possible that the scammer has adapted. Mine didn't ever come up with any designs, though I'd asked for some.
The initial script is different from the one mine had used. (Details are posted on a different site).
His offscript style is a bit different, with different abbreviations.

Same mugu or not, he's cut from the same cloth. Glad to hear that he didn't get anything from you. And welcome to the other side.

I am sorry that you were subjected to this dishonest piece of garbage but thank goodness you were aware enough to be alerted and cautious about him. I am absolutely blown away each day that I read the stories of innocent caring men and women who just want someone to love them, care for them and share a beautiful life with them are subjected to these low lives!

It takes some time to get over but the support you receive by the wonderful people of SS is second to none. Many of them have helped me incredibly over the last few months and I know they are there to support you as well.

Thanks for your generous efforts and the time you took to post all that information. Even though you may never hear about or from the people who have been saved by your posts, you can be sure that someone will be thankful that you did. Be on the lookout for other scams coming your way in your email or FB or whatever the scammer can still contact you on or find. "Recovery scams, financial investments, FBI or Gov't compensation, etc. as well as more romance scammers." Read all you can about all types of scams, and how to trace emails, etc. If you have questions or need any help, we are always here to answer you.

I am very pleased you liked my email to you and glad it made you smile. All I've said on my emails to you are all genuine feelings straight from the depths of my heart huni...be rest assured that i don't play with words or peoples feelings. I feel all those things for you and really want to start something great and serious with you beautiful....hoping the feeling is mutual. It is very normal to guard your heart, with all the evil in the world these days, it's made it difficult of the remaining good ones like me, to be believed, but I will work on having your trust and am ready to love you and help you love again until we can meet in person....the chemistry between us is already great and it will grow even stronger when we meet.

Last night I had a beautiful dream. I was lost in a fog. I was wandering around, searching for something, only I didn’t know what it was exactly that I was searching for. Every face I saw was strange. Then at my darkest and lonliest moment I saw your face. You smiled at me, extended your hand and then we flew up together over the clouds and straight up towards the sun and the stars twirling around and around like two angels caught in a cosmic embrace. We were so happy.

I wouldn't worry about the photos ... scammers tend more to use porn star and sexy models for their female characters.

If you have any new info about this scammer -- such as email address, accomplice details, phone numbers, ip address (or header from an email) -- please post it so that others can be warned via search engines.

Scammers, btw, don't meet their 'match'. They troll dating and social networking sites, looking for new victims which they can manipulate and steal money from. At any given time a romance scammer may have up to ten victims on the hook. The only time they stop is when they 'meet their maker' it would seem.

Another thing ... scammers are known to be extremely lazy creatures. If you google the poems you will find they are stolen. Didn't check the email script, but it probably is as well.

Beachgirl...I'm so thankful you found my posts. He is such a sweet talker...that voice is like honey and that accent made me melt. Unrolled he asked me for money, wire transfers...NO! I was sad at first because I thought for a moment he was a special one. Well, he is special...intelligent, talented at becoming what you need and lying. I'm a widow and he played to that...he too saw pics of my kids...I'm not worried. He will meet his maker one day.

Just remember "he" is not real. You are. Go live! Take care of you and your daughter. And don't let him/them make you jaded. Last thing...SHARE your story with everyone. That is the best, most productive thing you can do.

Your story is very familiar for me especially the Istanbul part. Thank goodness you followed your instinct and did not let this lowlife get your money.

The feelings of embarrassment are normal, but you have nothing to be embarrassed about or ashamed. You did nothing wrong, it was the evil creature who should be ashamed - unfortunately they are not, they don't care, all they want is your bank account. The love part is worst of the scam, but you will recover from that and be a much stronger woman with even better instincts for the future.

Someday you will meet Mr. Right and this encounter will be forgotten. But do tell people about your scam, it could save another person the heartache and more importantly their bank account. Many people on this site have years of experience and we do everything we can to help a newcomer through their emotions of a scam, trust me you will feel normal again. If you want to talk, come to the chat room, we have many serious conversations there, but we also have a few good laughs and laughter really is the best medicine!!!

We are all here for you. It is time for you to take good care of yourself and heal.
