The victim found an ad online and she contacted the seller to buy some of the products.

Peter Morison claimed to be located in Turkey - Merkez rifat soka daire 4 Mersin , Istanbul. He was using the phone number +905358439294 and the email address petermorison33@gmail.com.


Back in 2013, Peter Morison was active from Cameroon, selling products online while using the same email address.

His email address is listed on http://caipol.com/cameroon_scam_alert as one of the Cameroonian fraudsters trying to scam buyers from India, pretending to be sellers of various products, particularly Pharma and Research Chemical Products.

Today, the same Peter Morison is active online selling anti-aging products.

In it's short period of existence, the fake site impersonated King Pharmaceuticals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pfizer based in Bristol, Tennessee, founded 1994.

All the above information shows the same trend: the scammers are abusing the privacy protection offered by American Registrars, while impersonating other American companies to defraud victims from all over the world, including Americans.

The scammers operating all these fake sites are in the Cameroon. Their activities can be seen all over the Internet, if someone is looking for it. But... as long as the scammers are paying the subscription needed to register the domain, having their identity protected, no one bothers to check before giving those scammers any chance of committing frauds. The ones paying the price for it are the average people, having no protection and less chances to report the fraud only because the scammers managed to buy that protection first.

Usually, while fake sites as those ones posted here are reported the reply of the Registrar is a standard one:

Thank you for your email regarding the domain name XXXXXX. While the domain name does have xxx.com as the registrar, we cannot oversee the data being transmitted through its website. We do not own the domain name mentioned in your complaint, we are simply the company the domain name was purchased from.

The issue would need to be addressed through the hosting provider to see if their terms of service are violated and would need to be addressed through the domain registrant as they should be the individual that controls the particular content being exchanged. We have no way to police such issues as we do not control the hosting company in this instance.

While we understand the inquiry, we are not in a position to determine the validity of your statements. If you believe you are a victim of an internet crime, or if you are aware of an attempted crime, you can file a complaint through Internet Crime Complaint Center at https://complaint.ic3.gov. In case we receive a request form a law enforcement authority of the United States we will assist them in their investigation.

In another words, a Cameroonian scammer is given protection by US legislation and rules while defrauding victims anywhere. If the victim is an American citizen, that victim can ask for a court order - it will take at least two months for it. If the victim is not American, the chances are zero of doing anything about the fraud.
