The victim was contacted on Facebook. The scammer romanced her for few weeks, communicating on FB. He pretends to be a military in a war zone. Building the trust was only the first step before he told the victim he is having an important amount of money with him there and he want to send those money to her, being afraid he may lose it if he is keeping those money where he is. With those money, he told the victim he wants also to send her something as a proof of his love:
iPhone6 plus, Apple iPad pro, 4 pieces of Bra and 12 pieces of Panties, 8 pairs of footwear, clothes, 3 set of Gold jewellery with a Envelop
The parcel was supposedly sent with a courier company called Desh Couriers, located in Bangladesh. The company contacted the victim, confirming the parcel is with them. The victim was asked to pay the booking fee before the parcel was released. On the way, the parcel got confiscated by the local authorities for not being "cleared" - the victim was asked to pay another fee for clearing the parcel.
Feeling that something is not right, the victim decided to check online the phone number the supposedly delivery company was using : +448719159916. To her surprise, she found out multiple reports about similar courier companies, located all over the world and using the exact same phone number:
- f.exexpresscourierservice@zbavitu.net - Parcel Force Diplomatic Delivery
- info@islingtoninternational.com - Islington Courier Services
- deshexpress@qq.com - Desh Courier
- ucsexpress@qq.com - UCS Express Delivery Services
All those ones were using fake sites no more active now. The fake site used with the victim is a new one.
